With one hand, invert these battery-operated mills over food, and their blades begins to whirr. Turn them upright, and the mechanisms shut off. Because the working apparatus is on top, the grinding residue is neatly contained between uses. To help you get started, the salt mill arrives with 1.75 oz. of sea salt; the pepper mill, with .09 oz. of peppercorns. Each mill is powered by six AAA batteries (not included). I have these in my house and they are awesome. The salt shaker is the best – simply put some nice sea salt in there and let the thing grind it up fresh whenever you want to add a little salty goodness. Yum!!!
